Privacy Policy

No accountNo registration or sign-in
No music uploadsAudio and playback data stay on your device
No ads or analyticsThe app has no Internet permission

DIG is a local music player designed and published by Bobliao 廖力. We respect your privacy and limit data processing to what is required for local playback. This policy applies to the Android version of DIG.

01Information we do not collect or upload

The current version of DIG does not request Internet access and does not provide accounts, advertising, analytics, push messaging or cloud sync. The app does not upload your music, file names, folder information, playback history, settings or device information to us.

DIG does not request access to your microphone, camera, location, contacts, messages, phone functions or all files on the device.

02Access to local music folders

When you choose a music folder, DIG uses the Android system folder picker to request access to that folder. Within the scope you explicitly authorize, the app reads file names, audio files and audio metadata to:

  • display folders and songs and sort them by file name;
  • play audio and provide the transport wheel;
  • display artist, duration, format, bitrate and sample rate; and
  • calculate level meters and the Wave Map spectrum from real audio.

You can revoke folder access in Android settings. DIG will no longer be able to read that folder after access is revoked.

03Data stored on your device

Temporary audio indexes or cacheSupport playback, variable speed and reverse transportPrivate app storage

This data is not uploaded. Clearing DIG's app data or uninstalling the app removes data in private app storage. Uninstalling DIG does not delete your original music files. Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup are disabled for DIG.

04Deleting music files

DIG's trash action attempts to permanently delete the selected audio file only after your explicit confirmation. Before deletion, the app checks the target, file type and folder access again. Folders, parent entries, non-audio items and unconfirmed items are not deleted.

If access has expired, the file no longer exists or the system file provider refuses the operation, DIG stops and displays a message.

05Background playback, media controls and vibration

DIG uses an Android foreground media playback service and wake locks for lock-screen and background playback, and provides notification and lock-screen media controls through Android. Vibration permission is used only for physical-style button feedback and can be disabled or adjusted in the app.

These features are not used to collect or upload data in the background.

06Third-party services and system file providers

The current version of DIG contains no third-party sign-in, advertising, analytics, push or cloud-storage SDKs. A system file provider selected through the Android folder picker, such as a device manufacturer's file manager, may process data under its own privacy policy.

07This policy website

This is a static page hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It sets no cookies and contains no forms, advertisements, analytics scripts or external fonts. When you visit, the hosting provider may process ordinary connection information required to deliver the page, such as IP addresses and request logs, under its own policy. The DIG app cannot access that information.

08Changes to this policy

If DIG's data practices change, we will update this page and the date shown above. Any material addition of networking, accounts, advertising, analytics or other data processing will be explained clearly before it takes effect.
